Instructions for use :

The RETURN key controls the tracking parameters:

The CALPREV button controls the computation of the satellite passes for the next 48 hours to come over the location you have selected.

The VOIRPREV button displays the next passes. You can paste the text, copy it in a Notepad, record it as a file and print it or read it later on.

The Cyan colour cells contain your Latitude and your Longitude. The data can be edited or modified. To use the modified data, press ENTREE. If you press ENTREE before starting the predictions computation, the results will take your new position into account.

WARNING: The computation results disappear if you use your browser to display another HTML page,

The left screen shows the satellite position. The line appearing between your location and the satellite does NOT show any azimuth. The length of the green part of the line is proportional to the satellite footprint, the red one is proportional to the distance.

EL SAT and DIS SAT data are valid only when the satellite is visible. If the satellite is below the horizon, "*" characters are displayed.

The orbital data as well as the station co-ordinates have to be given to the JAVA applet according to the following exemple:

< param name=satnm value="FO-20   ">
< param name=twol value="
1 20480U 90013C   99011.15915288 -.00000060  00000-0 -67037-4 0  1308
2 20480  99.0414 235.6733 0541539 160.3558 201.9300 12.83248398418193

Please check that your PC clock is carefully adjusted and that the UTC offset is correctly set. The time is displayed in the lower case on the right (see note). If the time is not correct, you must adjust it.

Note for the Internet Explorer users:
I.E. is not 100% JAVA compatible. Therefore, there is always a –1 hour offset compared to the UTC reference.

NORTH latitudes are EAST longitudes are positive, SOUTH latitudes and WEST longitudes are negative.

Use only one or two lines to enter orbital data.
